Elizabethtown Independent Schools will be participating in the Seamless Summer Option of the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. As part of this program, all schools will offer healthy meals every school day at NO COST to all enrolled students for the school year 2021-2022. Students will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a household application.
Students enrolled in Elizabethtown Independent Schools are served breakfast and lunch at no charge through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a key provision of The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The provision allows the nation’s highest poverty districts and schools to serve all students free meals. Under the CEP option, families in qualifying schools will no longer need to complete a Free or Reduced Price Meal Application; however are required to complete a Household Income Form (HIF) to provide the school district information for other income-based funding and grants, such as our Family Resource and Youth Services Centers, Title 1, school fee waivers, discounted internet services (EBB program), college pre-exam testing discounts.
