5 Meal Packages

breakfast and lunch EIS Nutrition Services is offering 5-Meal Packages to include 5 days of breakfast and lunch to our Panther Online Learning students.  For those students that have chosen virtual learning, you can pre-order your meal package for pick-up on Fridays from 11-1:00.  You must complete the meal package form each Sunday for pickup the following Friday for each week you want the meal package. The link will be on the righthand side of this page as "Meal Package Form" under the "This is EIS" title area. Please complete the form by this Sunday, October 25, for pickup on Friday, October 30, 11:00-1:00 pm.  Here's the form link: MEAL PACKAGE FORM

Free Breakfast and Lunch at all EIS schools.

EIS will now be able to serve free breakfast and lunch to any child 18 and under.  Curbside will continue from 11-1:00 daily.  Starting September 14, for students in school, free breakfast and lunch will be served daily and curbside will be available for any child that is not on campus on a given day.

This will be in effect until December 18, the last day of school for the semester.

High school students are still encouraged to complete the FAR application in case we can no longer offer free meals after December.

Altec donates PPE Altec donation

A big thank you to Altec for donating and delivering PPE to Helmwood Heights.

2019-2020 ExCEL Winner, Mrs. Michele Deon Michele Deon with Cheryl Williams from LG&E and KU

Michele Deon was honored and awarded the WHAS11/LG&E-KU 2019-2020 ExCEL Award on February 19, 2020.  Several dignitaries applauded her dedication and commitment to all students and her belief in their futures beyond EHS.  She and her husband selflessly donated $250 to each of the other nominated ExCEL teachers so they too can purchase instructional materials for their classrooms.  WHAS11/LG&E-KU donated $1000.00 to Mrs. Deon for her classroom needs. Congratulations Mrs. Deon for earning the title, ExCEL Teacher of the Year, 2019-2020.

About Us

Valley View Education Center, located at 701 Hawkins Drive in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, houses the Alternative Programs for the EIS district.  Students are referred for placement and a committee meets to determine if placement at VVEC is appropriate for the student's needs.
