Director of Student Services

Monday, June 6, 2022, Elizabethtown Independent is excited and proud to announce that Mr. Travis Gay has been hired as the Director of Student Services starting the 2022-2023 school year.

Mr. Travis Gay is a Campbellsville University graduate where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and Electonic Media.  He continued on and earned his Master of the Arts in Special Education.  He also attended the University of the Cumberlands where he achieved a Rank 1 in Principalship/Leadership.  Asbury University is where he ended his college education with an Educational Specialist Degree, Director of Pupil Personnel/Instructional Supervisor endorsement.

Mr. Gay started his educational career at Anderson County High School as a Special Education Teacher.  He also was a Head Track Coach, Assistant Football Coach, and JV Football Coach.  After four years, he moved to Taylor County High for one year where he taught as a special education teacher and worked with the football team.  Adair County hired him as a Special Education Teacher and Head Football Coach.  Under his leadership, they had two PAC Championships.  His coaching took him to Lindsey Wilson College and then back to Adair County as a teacher and then an Assistant Principal for eight years.  He has spent the last three years at LaRue County High as Principal.
