Students of the Month-March Students of the Month

Congratulations to G. Inman from EHS, A. Gamboa from MES, A. Moore from PA, B. Terry from HHES, and K. Johnson from TKS all pictured as Students of the Month for March.  Not pictured, but still honored is A. Taylor from Panther Place.

Principal named at Morningside Elementary Mr. Tim Mudd

Mr. Tim Mudd was named Principal by the SBDM Council and Mr. Jon Ballard, Superintendent of EIS.  The council and Mr. Ballard know that they found a Principal that puts students first.  The decision they made in choosing Mr. Mudd was first and foremost the best for the students of MES.  Mr. Mudd has been the interim since October.  He brings over 28 years of education and coaching experience to lead MES to be a great place to learn and work.

2019 WHAS11 & LG&E/KU ExCEL Winner, Mr. Travis Thompson Mr. Travis Thompson

Congratulations to EHS teacher, Mr. Travis Thompson, the EIS ExCEL winner sponsored by WHAS11 & LG&E/KU.  What a great ceremony held at EHS to honor an excellent teacher. The speakers told of the energic and entertaining ways Mr. Thompson engages his students and gets them to achieve at high levels.  He is a passionate educator keeping his students' needs and interests a high priority when teaching.

Instructional Information

T. K. Stone Middle School provides a flexible curriculum which meets the needs and abilities of each student and that emphasis on basic skills. In addition to the program of instructional studies, T.K. Stone offers English as a Second Language, a counseling program, two fully equipped computer labs with an extensive library of software  and 282 chromebooks used by classroom teachers to enrich regular classroom programs .  The district's performing arts center and indoor pool are both located on the T. K. campus.

The Panther Plus Program rewards students for academic efforts, displays of positive character and appropriate behavior with a numerous incentives. Students qualifying for the three levels of honor roll are published in the newspaper each grading period.
